Home > Xtravelling > #8 MILANO
  • Few months ago, just before Xmas, a friend of mine wrote me from NYC looking for an accomodiation just for a couple of days for his friend Paul, who was going to make a book presentation in Milan.
At that time I had just moved into my new flat with my gal, feeling king of lonely after years spent living together with the other VOLTA partners. So we took the chance to welcome Paul, hoping to have fun with this stranger.
Come to find out that Paul is Paul Barbera, a photographer I loved for his project "WHERE THEY CREATE, a great visual document about creative people and the places...where they create.
Came to find out that Paul is a really joyful, interesting, full-of-anecdotes guy.
Came to find out he parties hard.
Came to find out he's also running the "LOVE LOST" project and finally one night, after plenty of drinks, it bumped to mind that we had never done an Xtravelling gallery in Milan and thought we would have loved to see Milan through his eyes, through the Love Lost point of view.
After a vodka-and-tonic sipping night, the new Xtravelling Series #8 was conceived: a new, exciting, intimate vision of a city. Our city. Milan.
